Our client was the owner of a fruit and vegetable company, and asked for a modern, familiar space with enough room to build a warehouse to be used for business activities.
The building is composed of various volumes alternating on the first and second floor in a skilful composition. We installed single-pitched roofs with traditional tiles, with direction of the slope varying according to the perspective on all sides of the building. For this reason, there isn’t a real main facade, as each side has its peculiar features.
The side facing via del Panorama is equipped with a large porch with a plastered concrete gable on top, a peculiar feature of the whole building. The roofs have no eaves and they end on the same level as perimeter walls with copper flashings. We opted for floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the indoor with light. For safety reasons, we installed iron railings and concealed shutters made of walnut-stained wood.
The distribution of volumes gives the entire building a modern and contemporary look, in harmony with today’s trend enhancing similar shapes and solutions.
